Meet the Speech Language Pathologist

Jessica Hirliman, MS CCC-SLP

Jessica Hirliman, MS CCC-SLP is the owner and practitioner of Empire Speech and Swallow, P.L.L.C.  A New York State licensed, nationally certified medical speech language pathologist, Jessica has been practicing for 15 years, assessing and treating a variety of patients. Her therapy specialties include adult speech, language, and cognitive rehabilitation, voice impairments, swallowing disorders, and pediatric feeding/swallowing issues. Jessica’s vast and diverse professional experience includes many years spent working in acute inpatient and outpatient speech/swallowing evaluation and therapy.

Jessica also has a personal and professional background in public speaking and performance, and has coached countless clients and colleagues on their public speaking, professional presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

In addition to her clinical work, Jessica is also an adjunct faculty member at The College of Saint Rose in the Communication Sciences and Disorders department. She is a published writer and author, and currently reviews published speech and swallowing research on TheInformedSLP.com. She has authored two educational board games, Fluency Roll N Talk, and Fluency Roll N Talk Add On Pack, both published and produced by Super Duper Inc.

Jessica earned a Masters of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Emerson College in Boston, MA. In addition to her New York State license, she holds a Clinical Certificate of Competency from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

Jessica lives in Saratoga Springs, NY with her husband and children . She enjoys playing the piano, cooking, entertaining friends and family, enjoying the performing arts, and reading a good book outside in the sunshine.
